Hi; Don't know what I missed, I follow the guide about how to Install but when I download the ojsxc file there is when the problem start, In the guide about the installation of ejabberd say "Now copy the auth_ejabberd_oc.php and auth_oc_user.php from ojsxc to /etc/ejabberd/ and adjust owner and permission."
but I can't find these two files in the ojsxc downloaded file. And when I tried to login on the chat app always say "Sorry can't login in the chat server". I tried whit different users but always the same.

Please help!!

Most of the time, this occurs if you miss any virtual host in ejabberd. Try your configuration also with an other xmpp client like pidgin.

Please send your answer to klaus@jsxc.org.

 Problems refreshing roster

by MrDuck on: Nov 26 2015

Hi,

First of all thank you for the very promising web chat application.

I'm not very versed with XMPP, but after some troubleshooting I've come to conclusion that I seem to have some kind session initialization or cleaning issue with BOSH and ojsxc.

I have a setup with XMPP running on a separate OpenFire server.
Owncloud and ojsxc are running on their own server.

At first ojsxc did work properly. I was using chat from one location/session.

However, later when I changed sessions and browsers few times, the client got stuck and shows an empty roster or sometimes only few people in it, but they are offline. The amount of people in the roster seems to vary too, missing lots of people, even if it is set to show full user list, eg. all offline users too.
This is with freshly started Firefox and Chrome browsers after the initial success, with no other browser session open in any location.

Jappix web client that also uses BOSH does not seem to suffer from the same problem. With Jappix I can clean the situation by shutting down all the browsers and starting from scratch. With ojsxc I have to restart OpenFire to get the client working again.

It is quite clear that it is OpenFire that gets confused in handling the data to the client, but is it possible that ojsxc does not "reinitialize" the user's session to OpenFire properly when it starts a new session?

Thank you! :)

No storage of buddy list and messages

by veggited on: Dec 8 2015

I've managed to get XMPP, Login via OC accounts and Bosh-URL to work. I even can login via OC login and via roster. I even managed to chat with an oc user by starting a conversation via pidgin.

My problem is that no buddies can be added. Sometimes a buddy symbol got added to the roster but it is lost when logged in again. Most of the time just nothing happens. The added person even doesnt get any authentification message and no messages received from a pidgin user when offline appears when logging in again.

Any idea? Some rights problem?
