Description:

This small app adds an input to the file manager that lets you quickly search for files and folders in the current directory. When clicking the Select all checkbox, only matching files/folders are selected. This is really useful when you have many files in one folder and are looking for files with a specific extension or file name.

One example: if you want to download all JPG files, type .jpg in the filter box, click Select all and then Download!

Changelog:

2012/06/20 - 0.1.1
  • bugfix: hide filter when showing text editor/PDF viewer/...

  • 2012/06/19 - 0.1
  • initial release (OC 4 compatible)

     Small bug

    Hello,

This very nice and simple application has a small bug in filter.js where the input box is floating to the left.

This overlaps or gets overlapped with other application's controls, if they have the same floating.

The quick and not-so-tested fix would be to set the floating to right, IMHO.

All in all, this is a good application.

    Thanks,
    Robin

this app works in OC5 but i changed the filter.js a little bit.

open filter.js an search float: 'left' change it to

    position: 'absolute',
    right: '220px' ,
    top: '3px'

and you will see the filter field is on the left side from the deletet file entry

I did that, but i still can't klick the top line in files. The one where you can select all files, and do things "like delete" marked files. It seems to be behind that button, even tho the button is way above it.

    Sorry its supposed to be

    <div class="actions" style="position: absolute; right: 350px; top: 0px; width:200;">

So it doesn't overlay any buttons like deleted files, cancel upload etc....

Is it possible to hide it where it doesn't work ?

Very good for a filter in Files (for a single search I prefer to use Ctrl-F).

I think it would be better if the select area for filter is not viewable where it doesn't work (in the apps : Gallery, Music, etc...)

    Thanks
