Description:

DEPRECATED
This app store is deprecated. For new versions of polls please head over to either https://marketplace.owncloud.com/apps/polls (oC marketplace) or https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/polls (Nc appstore).

This is a rework of the existing polls app made by rrvv (https://apps.owncloud.com/content/show.php/Polls?content=167919) and improved by rrvv and me. Since he stopped development, I decided to take over the development and this is it.

Please note!
  • Polls of the old app won't work in this app! I had to change the database and thus some of the old columns have been removed.

  • Currently there is a bug in oc (pre 9.0 release) which returns a wrong code for the RedirectResponse. To fix this, you have to edit the file as in https://github.com/owncloud/core/pull/22497

  • Changelog:

    Version 0.7.2:
  • Enhancement: Search for users/groups in "Select..." access type (similar to sharing dialog), (thanks @scroom)

  • Enhancement: Bump OC version to 9.1

  • Enhancement: Anonymous comments/polls

  • Enhancement: Allow comments for unregistered/not logged in users

  • Fix: Correctly store text votes (thanks @jaeger-sb @joergmschulz)

  • Fix: Preselection on edit poll page

  • Fix: Current selected access type is now clickable

  • Version 0.7.1:
  • Enhancement: New UI (thanks mcorteel)

  • Enhancement: Search for users/groups (thanks bodo1987)

  • Fix: Several bug fixes

  • Fix: Use correct timezone for date polls

  • Fix: Link to poll

  • Fix: Only display users/groups the user is member of (except admin) (thanks bodo1987)

  • Version 0.7.0:
  • Enhancement: Show user avatars

  • Enhancement: Toggle all switch

  • Enhancement: Show login screen before error

  • Fix: Not set expire would lead to 2.1.1970 as expire date

  • Fix: Invalid characters in url hash

  • Fix: Empty description in edit

  • Fix: Many text poll fixes

  • Fix: Notification checkbox fixes

  • Fix: Blank page fixes on empty votes

  • Version 0.6.9.1:
  • Replaced placeholder images

  • Minor fixes

  • Version 0.6.9:
  • Replaced deprecated methods

  • New minimal version set to 8.1

  • Switched from raw php to controller

  • Fixed several bugs

    - Vote page layout
  • Edit polls

  • Certainly more fixes and improvements ;)

Color coded squares in the overview

    Hello,

I've noticed the two colored squares in the overview under "abgestimmt" in your screenshot. I've realized the second one changes color when a comment is left, but I am not sure what the first one is supposed to indicate. What does it mean?

The first one is for participation, the second one (as you already noted) for comments ;)

    Thanks for the quick reply!
I'm having some trouble to understand what exactly participation means. To test the app, I've created a couple of test polls and invited some coworkers to look into how everything works.

I've created a public poll, another one where I invited a handful of others and one with just me as the participating member. In the overview, the box indicating the participation is always red in all three of them. When does it change?

It's been a while since I implemented this, but both of them should switch to green as soon as you (the logged in user) participate or comment. Maybe some of the other fixes or deprecated methods broke this. If it still doesn't work for you, please open an issue on github.
