 Cannot login...

by JoergAniol on: Dec 28 2015

I am using owncloud 8.2 and want to try RainLoop. I mananged to use the admin login and configured everything correctly(?). Trying to use RainLoop as a user fails. I receive the message "domain is not allowed". I researched the net for half a day now, found many hints, but everything failed so far.
It would be great if there was somebody who could help me with this.
Many thanks in advance.

Go to your Owncloud Admin panel. Then choose Rainloop Webmail from the sidebar.
You should see a link to enter the Rainloop Admin panel.
Login to it and add the domains that you use.

(default login to rainloop admin is: admin/12345 )

Dear Cindy,

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, it does not solve my problem. I already went to the RainLoop admin panel and tried several ways of configuration, following every hint I could find on the internet - I couldn'd succeed. I entered my domain in the admin panel:
aniol-haeuser.de
The homepage where owncloud is located, is as follows:
http://www.aniol-haeuser.de/owncloud
So I expect, I entered the domain correctly?

The Email account you're trying to logon to is also on that domain(aniol-haeuser.de)?

I have this also. My user is in the same domain as owncloud is. Aufter klicking on the app Email, I got the login-screen and must enter again mailaddress and password which I already have saved in my personal setting. After klicking on sign in I also get the message, that my domain is not allowed.

Here you can configure the allowed domains

 Logout problem

Hey,

i know the problem is not new but it is still actual. If i logout Rainloop app the Owncloud session is still active. It therefor possible to login with one user in owncloud and with another user in Rainloop. This shoudn't been possible.

Has anyone a quick fix? For me it would be enough to remove the logout menuitem in Rainloop so you can only logout over Owncloud.

Thank's for help.

Kind regard's, Jørg

Hi, I have in another machine my IMAP/SMTP server.

I try to use rainloop in my owncloud but I do not know where is the configuration file to say where is my mail server.

Do you know how I can a configurate my email account in my owncloud user setting?

For example:

I need to say that my server is Ip-Mail-Server, and the port used is XXX and mail server security is TLS or not, and my user-mail is and his password is xxxxxx

Best regards.

 Cannot install

Hi, I have tried installing Rainloop on my ownCloud 8.1.1. but I always get the error -

"App can't be installed because the version in info.xml/version is not the same as the version reported from the app store"

What am I doing wrong? In my previous ownCloud installation, everything used to work fine. The only thing I have done is I reinstalled owncloud and am using SQLite.

Please help!

 custom-login-mapping ?

Dear,

I have ownCloud + RainLoop.
I would like to log in with ownCloud login (user) but not e-mail (user@domain.tld)
I've decided to install custom-login-mapping and map e-mail address with the same login as is used in ownCloud.
Unfortunately it does not work. It seems that whole plugin custom-login-mapping does not work.

As I saw from logs ownCloud uses login instead of e-mail provided in Personal tab. Is it possible to use e-mail from Personal tab instead of login?

Please advise

BR,
kab

Works fine with V 4.15 under OC 9.0.2 by using PHP 5.x under ubuntu-server 14.04.3

With ubuntu 16.04 definitely a desaster - maybe PHP 7 that is not really ready for this :-)
