 Integration with OC 5

Hi,

Your app is great :)
However, I found that it does not integrate well with the new OC 5 interface.
For my personnal use, I made (very) few changes that I would like to share with you.

In loader.js file, I replaced the button creation with:
$('#upload').after('<div class="button" style="margin-left:3px; width: 17px; height:17px; background:url('+ oc_webroot +'/core/img/actions/history.png) center no-repeat; " id="reScanIcon" title="Rescan folder"></div>');

Also, it seemed to me, but may-be it depends on the browser you used, that your "if" statement was never true:
if (param[0] == 'dir')

Since dir is the first url parameter, it goes "?dir" rather than "dir", and clicking the button would always refresh the whole owncloud filessytem. This might explain the delays that are reported above.
So I changed your "var url" line to remove the "?":
var url = window.location.search.substring(1).split('&');

You may use or not those lines. I don’t care ;)

I hope you do not mind my mingling with your app, that I find very useful, and which perfectly fits my needs :)

Thanks, that actually addresses my comment with the "reach the botton in OC5".
So I implemented you changes, but actually the button does not seem to have any effect with we?

any Idea?

So, for everyone:
In ownCloud 4.x was an easy way to trigger a rescan of the filesystem cache:

scanFiles(); # This is used in this app.

from a JavaScript console in the browser.

Unfortunaly this function is gone in ownCloud 5. The only workaround I was able to find up to now is:

TRUNCATE oc_filecache;

in the MySql console (or phpMyAdmin).

Make sure you are logged out and do a clean login after the truncate.

Hi,

In reply to both your posts.

To sum it up: I don’t understand. I’ve read the same as you reported. But the scanFiles function do be in my OC5 setup (defined in /var/www/owncloud/apps/files/js/files.js); this rescan app does work (although no feedback is provided, and you have to refresh the page after a few seconds or more, depending on the size of your folder, to see any effect).

I’ve done nothing with my OC installation besides installing and modifying this app (and some changes in the music app).

I’m using version 5.0.6.

Xavier

you also need to ensure all files added are set properly to www-data

chown -R www-data:www-data /DataVolume/owncloud_data/

Hi,

it's a very nice app, i also changed the js file. App is working but i always get error: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 5 database is locked at \/var\/www\/owncloud\/lib\/db.php#966

Is there any possibility to run this app frequently? Maybe every hour or day?

 Geat App, but OC5.0.x

Hi there,

first of all thanks a lot for that great app.

Since I've upgraded to OC5.0.6 it was not possible to install it via the WebUI and the already included Apps (Error stating that version on the server and the on here are not the same). This can be easily fixed by downloading it here and installing it mannually.

But now comes the issue:
Since OC5.0.6 the button for the rescan is overlayed with left hand panel and cannot be pressed. See link below.
